That was quick...

I know I just made it official with Dan late Friday night/early Saturday morning...but I had to call it quits today. He's a really great guy and I do like him but he's so self conscious and nervous around me that it makes it really awkward and uncomfortable for me. I told him that we need to take a step back and be friends first. And once he's comfortable being my friend we can go from there. He's just fine when we're in groups but when its just the two of us even though we have fun the awkard moments totally overpower the fun ones. Like last night for example...we were having a really good time then decided it was time for him to go and he asked if he could kiss me before he left. First of all, he already kissed me once, second of all we're dating so he shouldn't need to ask! But I said ok (not really wanting one because the first one was so awkward). Then he proceeded to tell me that "we're going to do it like will smith says to in hitch." How awkward is that?! You don't say how you are going to kiss someone you just do it! So I told him that was really awkward and I couldn't kiss him. And after that I just realized that I could'nt handle the awkwardness. He needs to gain some confidence!
