For the sake of blogging

I have some time (I'm done with the homework that counts) and so I thought why not use it to blog?! First off the new M&M premiums are really yummy! I bought the mint kind - it's white chocolate mint covered in dark chocolate :D I need to try the other flavors still. Also I made gluten free cupcakes for my roommate Alex's birthday and also so I could use my cake decorators! It was a lot of fun - Alex told me they should've hired me to do her and her fiance's wedding cake haha. Maybe I should look into that for some extra cash...hmm...

On a wedding note, pretty much all of my friends are married or getting married! My best Tooele friend just got married yesterday and I know 2 people getting married December 30, one the 27th and one the 26th and there are a lot more but I don't know their wedding dates yet. It's nuts! But I'm happy for them, a little jealous of course, but I'm in the "I don't care" phase right now and it's working really well. I think when you don't care you get noticed by the opposite sex more. I am interested in one guy...and I've talked to 3 of his friends about it and they're all giving me advice and stuff plus I've talked to him about relationships a lot lately and we're practically twins! We both make the same mistakes and have the same fears and stuff, I think it's kinda cool! Could be good :D So I'll try to keep you updated...

I have news!

I know its been a while...I'm horrible about writing...but I have some really good news! I have a boyfriend! His name is Danny Toone and he's 21 and he lives in Sandy, UT. We met at 80s night at Area 51 the end of June and have been hanging out whenever possible since then. We went clubbin again last night and he decided he wanted me to be his girlfriend - he hasn't had an official girlfriend in 4 years and likes me enough to change that! I'm really excited to see where things go...he's thinkin of transfering from SLCC to UVU so then he'll be in Orem while I'm in Provo! I'll keep you up to date on whatever I feel like whether good or bad most likely. But hopefully it will all be good! I'm hopin to go boating with his family soon :D that'll make for a fun blog!

Age

So I've always known that I don't look my age, but it's never really been so annoying until now! I was talking to one of the head cashiers at Home Depot and I'd told him I'm 21 and I'll be a senior at BYU and he went nuts! He proceeds to tell everyone he sees how it baffles him that I'm 21. He thinks I look 15 going on 16. I asked a girl at work how old she thinks I look and she said max 17. Then I was talking to one of the guys in hardware and I'd said how as soon as I hit my 90 days I'm out of here and he asked why and I told him I'm going back to school. And he said "oh, are you going to be a senior?" and I said "yeah, I should graduate next August." And his response was, "from high school?" I proceeded to inform him that I will be a senior in college and he said, "wow! You must have graduated high school young!" and I said, "no, I'm 21." And he, as everyone else has been, was shocked. A lady I worked with told me the other day her son came through my line and he asked her about me and she told him I was 21 so he asked if I date younger men haha. WOW! Do I really look as young as these people think?! Sure it'll be nice to look younger in the future...but now it's a pain in the butt!

New Hair

Photobucket
This is my new hair! It's only wavy though because my stylist asked how I wanted it styled and I told her she could do whatever she wanted. So I'll probably post a picture later of how it will normally look :)

Hair...

So I'm dying my hair tomorrow then getting it cut...and I don't know how to get it cut! I still want it long so I don't think I have many options... I hate making decisions about how to get my hair cut! I also would like to look older (everyone thinks I'm only like 17...but I'm 21) and I know with short hair I look older but I've been working so hard to grow it out! I'm still growing it out from November 06 when I chopped 12 inches off... So that's why I still want it long. So if anyone is reading this I am open to suggestions...you have until 4:00pm tomorrow! I'll post a picture of course with the finished product. Hopefully I get some ideas!
That's about all I have to say today except I've decided if the computers aren't breaking on me I end up getting hurt - I got cut once last week and I got cut again today. Cashiering is rough :P

Computers Don't Like Me

So I've decided today officially that computers don't like me. It all started my freshman year at BYU when I went through a computer each semester--they weren't new, but still! I have come to this official conclusion since starting work as a cashier at The Home Depot. I have only been on my own for about 2 weeks and here's what all has happened in such a short period of time.
On Thursday I was ringing someone up and I needed to endorse his order so I put the paper in the spot for endorsements on the printer...and it jammed... Someone came over to fix it and they couldn't so we tried to swap printers with a register we weren't using and in the process the computer shut down! So we called to make sure his order went through since I couldn't give him a receipt. Then once they got the computer up and running again as soon as my next customer came up the computer went blank! Then once they got it rebooted again I needed to do an endorsement on another order and guess what...there was no ink in the printer we swapped the jammed one for! After that there were no problems...on Thursday anyway.
On Friday after my second customer the computer went blank again! This time they couldn't get it back up so my till/cash drawer was stuck in that computer so I was stuck shadowing at returns--so basically I stood around all day because it was really slow.
On Monday they put me on the register we put the bad printer on (it's rarely used) and I asked them if it was going to work and they said it worked fine on Saturday so I went. I needed to endorse a check and found out there was no ink in that printer because we took it out to put on the printer I used on Thursday! I think that's the only problem I had on Monday and Tuesday went well.
Today (Wednesday) I was watching self-checkout for a while and I also was on the register connected to it. I was in the middle of tendering a huge order and the computer froze! So I had to restart the computer and void the whole thing and go into assist mode on self check out and re-scan everything! While the computer was rebooting a customer wanted me to ring him up but I explained that I couldn't because the computer wasn't working at the moment and he got really mad because there was only one other cashier at the time and he didn't want to wait or do self-check out so he stormed out of the store. Then later I was on a different register and it started getting really really slow and it seemed like it was going to freeze like the one earlier did so we had to shut it down and I had to swith to another register.
So what do you think? Do computers hate me?! I think so... One of the head cashiers told me they should put me in a department so I don't have to deal with computers and I told her that's what I wanted anyway because I don't like cashiering haha. But I'm still stuck here...
